Because I’m tired of unreliable freelancers and expensive agencies. With so many gurus who scale everything left and right, I sometimes question my life choices.
One thing my clients have in common is that their last marketing agency left them worse off. The good news is, there’s a better way. I’m not claiming to know-it-all, but at least I’m honest. My mother can attest to that.
It all comes down to cash in, cash out. Net profit after ad spend, that’s all that matters. And yet very few have measures in place to optimise their campaigns & budgets to maximise their profit.
So here I come with a profit first approach to Google Ads. So how does it work?
Did I mention I “run” (*am a minority shareholder, acting CMO) an ecommerce store alongside helping others with Google Ads? Of course, twice now.
With that said I use strategies that actually work for my store and consistently generate a profit every month.
Some of these “strategies” truth be told are simply fundamental principles of a well-structured account, fully optimised campaigns with ads that stand out and high-converting landing pages.
You want proof, that’s fair. Here it is:
and don’t just take my word for it, see what others are saying. Read Trustpilot reviews.
I’ll take care of the daily management of all your Google & Bing Ads campaigns. I’ll keep you up to date with what’s happening with daily reports and weekly highlights every Monday morning of the good things that have scope to drive more revenue and the bad and what to do about it.
A detailed audit of your ad account and website packed with insights, ideas and quick wins that once implemented will help you earn more profit from Google Ads. If you have any specific questions or concerns let me know and I'll be happy to address them all in the audit.
Great if you don't want to commit to a monthly contract. I’ll set up a solid foundation in your ad account with an advanced conversion tracking setup, well-researched keywords, ad copy that stands out and automations to make sure you’re getting the most from your ad budget.
I’ll handle everything in Google & Bing Ads from account setup, tracking, to strategy and day-to-day management.
Although PPC stands for pay-per-click and is a form of media buying. My speciality is paid search, that is Google & Bing Ads.
Other channels that support the pay per click model are social (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), marketplaces (Amazon, eBay) or other niche websites across the web (Taboola)
I don’t do paid social, or markeplace ads, only paid search.
And I work exclusively with Ecommerce DTC brands primarily Shopify stores. However I’m well connected with some really talented PPC specialists and I may know just the right expert whether you’re looking to get more quality leads or need someone with SaaS experience. Send me an email to victor@victorserban.com and I’ll try to connect you with someone who would be a better fit for your project.
I have been practising digital marketing since 2014. Initially running ads on Facebook and in 2017 I fully immersed myself into paid search managing a well known tech ecommerce retailer spending ~£50K/month.
In 2019 I did white label work for a UK PPC agency and here I got the opportunity to work on the biggest account I’ve ever managed to date spending about £400K/month.
In 2020 I started getting more active on Upwork and did freelance PPC work on the side alongside my full time position as a PPC manager and to date I’ve worked on over 100+ projects from one time consultations to management work where some of the clients have been with me for over 5 years!
Also I’m an official Google Partner and Google Ads certified specialist, but those are very easy to get so doesn’t mean anyone who has a badge is right for the job.
Why you should work with me?
I work exclusively with e-commerce brands and have a framework I follow which is tailored to online stores from well-structured accounts, daily, weekly and monthly optimisations to high-converting product pages. Think of myself as an extension of your current team, your trusted source of no BS marketing advice; although my focus is PPC (pay-per-click), specifically paid search, I’m not too bad with other marketing stuff either. Most PPC agencies and freelancers offer everything under the sun, so you should work with me if you’re tired of generic strategies and want a no-nonsense approach that delivers results and more profit.
I can’t guarantee results. And you should know better than ask for guarantees. Nothing in this life is guaranteed except death and taxes . Who knows what happens after. Maybe we’ll meet one day in heaven. Play Monopoly and stuff. That would be nice.
While results can’t be guaranteed, deliverables can. Things like:
I offer four main services, all PPC (pay-per-click) related.
1. Account audit or as I like to call it account roast.
2. 1-1 Consultations
3. Account Builds or Fix Service
4. Monthly PPC Management.
As part of the the above mentioned some but not all include help with the strategy, performance & trend analysis, reporting, automations, keyword research, forecast, ad copywriting, campaign optimisations, feed management & regular comms, anytime you have a question or want an update you have your own personal PPC assistant.
My PPC management service starts from £1,500/month (On average, new clients see a 30% increase in net profits within 90 days, most find it pays for itself in the first month). The fee depends on the size of the account and how difficult you are as a person to work with
Does it really matter?
As long as the results are good, why would anyone care. Most people who ask the question are concerned whether I can commit enough hours to action whatever tasks come my way. If that’s you, and you expect to tell me what to do in your account wanting to track and log my hours then look somewhere else, I’m not the man for you.
I don’t micromanage and I don’t like being micromanaged.
So to answer the question, I have 17 accounts in active management and yes don’t worry I have enough time to take on more because 70% of my current clients have been with me for years and I’ve not had anyone complain about my availability yet.
And I’m lucky to have a few helpers (media buyers) & partners (agencies & contractors) who help me manage the workload when things get busy all under my supervision :)
As long as you see paid competition on those keywords, yes. I think you should run ads. If there is no competition, then run an incrementality test. Run ads for 2 weeks, turn them off for the next two. Do that 3 times. Pivot the numbers and measure the uplift, if any.
I’d still consider a campaign on low budget low bids that will allow you to monitor what your competitors are doing by checking Auction Insights report.
Depends. Ask yourself a few questions first, which will narrow the options that’ll work best for you. If you’re just starting and don’t have sales, no agency, freelancer or consultant will help you fix that problem for you. Google Ads isn’t a shortcut, it’s a tool for a business that can do well without it. Something to accelerate your growth. On the other hand if you are doing at least £20K+ in sales already and wonder what else you can try to grow then speak to a freelancer or consultant to get an idea who would be best for you. If you’re doing £1M+/month in sales it may be worth speaking to agencies and they’ll be able to move faster than a freelancer or consultant.
No, I run ads exclusively on Google & Bing. But I have a few friends that do paid social so if you’re looking for recommendations send an email to victor@victorserban.com.
Feeling adventurous? Let me roast your ad account for free.
Prefer email? Send your questions to victor@victorserban.com, and I’ll get back to you the same day. Except on weekends, I need a break too!
Answer a few questions and I’ll follow up with an in-depth audit & proposal.
